Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Agadir
Upon your arrival at the Agadir airport, we will greet you and provide transportation to your hotel.
Day 2: Guided tour of Agadir
Your local guide will meet you to begin your sightseeing tour in Agadir, which will include a visit to Agadir Oufla for a breathtaking panoramic view. Afterwards, you will explore Souk el Had, the city’s prominent market, followed by a delightful lunch at a fish restaurant.
The rest of the afternoon is yours to enjoy a leisurely walk along the beach. Finally, we will return you to your hotel at the end of the day.
Day 3: Travel from Agadir to Zagora
Following breakfast at the hotel, we will depart Agadir and head towards Taroudante, a stunning walled medina. Afterwards, we will proceed to Taliouine, renowned for its saffron cultivation, and then to Taznakht, a Berber village known for producing exquisite handmade Berber carpets. Our journey will then take us to Zagora, where we will spend the night in a hotel.
Day 4: Zagora – Merzouga
Once we’ve explored the palm grove, we’ll embark on our journey towards the Merzouga desert. We will traverse the rocky Hamada desert and make our way to the ancient Sijilmassa city of Rissani before continuing on to the Merzouga desert.
As the sun sets, you’ll have the opportunity to ride a camel on the sand dunes and marvel at the spectacular view of the sandy landscape. We will have dinner around the campfire and spend the night under the stars at the camp.
Day 5: Excursion in the desert of Merzouga
After having breakfast at the desert camp, we’ll embark on a camel ride to the base of the sand dunes before embarking on an exploration of the Sahara around Merzouga. Our itinerary includes a visit to the engravings in Taouz and a stop to visit the Berber nomads in their tents.
We will then head back to Khamlia town to enjoy a Gnaoua music performance. After lunch, we’ll ride our camels back to the bivouac located in the Erg Chebbi dunes, where we’ll have dinner and spend the night.
Day 6: Merzouga Desert to Dades Valley
Our journey continues as we depart the Merzouga desert and make our way towards the Dades Gorges, where we will spend the night with the locals. Today’s itinerary includes an exploration of the Tafilat oasis via Rissani and Erfoud, followed by a visit to the Todra Gorges where we will have lunch and marvel at the stunning cliff formations.
Afterward, we will visit the Jewish quarter of Tinghir before making our way to Boumalne de Dades where we will spend the night at a hotel in the Dades valley.
Day 7: Dades – Ouarzazate – Ait ben haddou
Our 11-day Agadir desert tour continues in the morning as we make our way from Dades Valley to Ait Ben Haddou Town. Along the way, we’ll stop to explore historical sites before reaching Skoura to visit the beautiful Amredil Kasbah. In Ouarzazate, we’ll have a local guide show us around the stunning Taourirt Kasbah and the famous Cinema Studio. Finally, we’ll end the day by settling in for the night in Ait Ben Haddou.
Day 8: Aït ben haddou – Marrakech
Our day will begin at the Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, where we’ll embark on a drive to Marrakech. Along the way, we’ll pass through the picturesque Ounilla Valley and traverse the majestic Atlas Mountains before arriving in Marrakech towards the evening. We’ll settle down for the night at a lovely Riad in the heart of the Medina.
Day 9: Guided tour of Marrakech
Following a delicious breakfast at your Riad, our knowledgeable local guide will take you on a guided tour of the Marrakech medina. This comprehensive visit will cover all the significant historical landmarks such as palaces, gardens, and ancient schools. Afterward, we’ll explore the bustling Jamaa El Fna square, alongside its vibrant markets. Finally, we’ll settle in for the night at your Riad.
Day 10: Marrakech – Essaouira
After enjoying a tasty breakfast, we’ll begin our journey to Essaouira. Along the way, we’ll make a stop to see the famous goats in trees before continuing on to Essaouira. You’ll have a free afternoon to explore and wander through the charming medina or taking in the stunning sunset at the beach.
Day 11: Essaouira – Agadir
The final day of our 11-day Agadir desert tour will see us transporting you from Essaouira to Agadir airport, marking the end of our wonderful journey.
